Thank you both so much for all you have done to help on this journey. You have recognized what makes my child special, and you have really led him on a path to success.
"I'm so glad that I found both of you to be a part of our village."
Bloom was instrumental in preparing our boys for college. The guidance they provided ensured a great fit for each boy’s chosen university. Their hands-on, tailored approach was invaluable. From our first meeting, they took the stress out of our home with full involvement with the boys. Their guidance from test prep, and course selection through acceptance was a 10 out of 10.
"they took the stress out of our home!"
That depends on when you start with us. As we get closer to deadlines, it's not uncommon for us to talk with your student 2 or 3 times a month. We do all meetings via Zoom. Some work, such as essay editing can be done via email and doesn't require a meeting. We know your student is busy, so we give clear and concise tasks with deadlines. However, we are flexible and understand teenager time.
That depends on you! Some parents hire us to take them out of the equation (the college admissions process is stressful) and we take over. Imagine no more fighting with your student to get things done!!
Other parents want to be involved every step of the way. It’s up to you and we are ok with whatever works for you! No one family’s needs are the same, and no one approach is right. We meet you where you are.
No, but we work very hard to make sure that your student has a good, balanced list of schools that are the right fit for them academically and financially; this usually means about 7-10 colleges. However, we remind our clients that each application costs time, money and energy (not to mention more essays) so we try to ensure that your student doesn’t over apply.
No (and run from anyone that says that they will!), but we help your student brainstorm, draft, and edit the essay from beginning to end. We have toured hundreds of colleges, talked with countless admissions reps and taken classes to better understand what colleges are looking for in these essays. This is not your normal English class essay, and we don’t treat it that way.
